Work from before the summer holidays

Before the summer:-

• Looked at different topics to do with our exam question on our practical production in detail. Narrative, genre, representation, audience and media language.
• We learnt about the different theories of narrative (Vladimir Propp's, William Labov’s and Roland Barthes’s).
• Looked in detail at previous A2 music videos and compared them to professional ones.
• We also looked at some local newspapers to research conventions that we would need to use.
• Decided from 3 choices: a newspaper, a film trailer or a music video.
• Made a presentation on our choice, why we chose it and what we were planning to do - the specifics.
