Adverts
When making all of my adverts, I had to bear in mind my target audience. I felt that it was necessary to think about the things they like doing and are interested in. For this reason I made three adverts: one about a juice bar, one about a new nightclub and one about a new boutique, all in the local area. I found it difficult to make sure that my adverts appealed equally to both males and females. To help this, I tried to use neutrally male and female colours, but still make it stand out.
For my nightclub advert I used turquoise and yellow. At first I was thinking about using purple and yellow, but I decided that this would look much too feminine with the 'Unique' advert which is mainly aimed at girls. I tried to choose quite a masculine text so that it would balance out with the swirl pattern behind the name of the nightclub. I decided to use the swirl because I felt that without it, the name did not stand out and would have been to plain.
For my boutique advert, I used purples and pinks. I needed to make it obvious that this advert was designed to be aimed at females so I chose these very stereotypically feminine colours. I also made the text very feminine and used images of shoes and a heart above the letter 'I' to make it more interesting.

For my 'Juiced' advert I used oranges, greens and reds to make it stand out. I also thought that these colours were quite fresh and are often associated with fruit. The colours are also not too feminine or masculine so it is likely that the advert will be able to appeal to both sexes. In order to make the name of the juice bar more dynamic, I got pictures of cartoon fruit and placed them on some of the letters, making them look like they are a part of the text.

Newspaper Supplements
I chose to create this as one of my supplements because my newspaper is aimed at a target audience of the younger generation who are likely to be at the stage of learning to drive, therefore this will appeal to them.I used a rhetorical question to catch the reader's eye and make it more interesting. I also used instructive language 'SIGN UP' to help persuade the reader. I used the words 'FREE' and 'WIN' in red to make them stand out. They are also very appealing words to people and give an insentive to buy the newspaper.
This supplement was also chosen with my target audience in mind. Young people are interested in entertainment, especially when they can get it locally so I thought that this supplement would make my newspaper more appealing. Again, I used the word 'FREE' in big red letters to make it stand out.Final Photographs
Final Photographs

The second picture on the front page is of a footballer signing a football. I took a variety of pictures, having him look at the camera and at the football. I decided to have him looking at the football, as if he is in the middle of signing it. I also thought it would be good if he was smiling because it is a very positive story, so this needed to be conveyed in the picture. Again, I had to crop this photograph and make it brighter.
My main front cover picture was hard to take because I found it difficult to choose a good angle of Cabot Circus to give it full credit. The shot needed to show as much of it as possible without being boring. I chose to take a picture of the 'centre' of Cabot Circus from above. The reason I chose this is because I thought that it was the most atmospheric area of the shopping centre and the stairs accentuate the grandness of it. It is also one of the most recognisable angles. I made sure that I got some of the architecture in my picture because this was a part of what I wrote about in my article. I managed to include some of the curved glass roof to give readers an idea of what it looks like if they have never been before. The day on which I took this photo was quite dark and wet so I had to make the picture brighter and change the contrast in order to make it look more upbeat and positive as well as being clearer.
