Poster Drafts

These are the first drafts of my poster. I decided to do my poster on the Entertainment Magazine which features as a supplement in my newspaper. The reason I chose this was that I felt that it would be more dynamic and interesting than something like a campain poster. I needed it to be interesting and dynamic in order to work with the style of my newspaper and also appeal to my target audience.

I chose the red and black texts in order to match the house style of my newspaper which uses these colours.

I didnt want to use too many different colours as I felt that this made it look less sophisicated, hence why I chose not to use a purple background. The purple also seemed to make the text stand out a lot less compared to a white background. I was also intending on adding pictures to my poster so I felt that these would add the much needed colour to a sufficient degree.
