This is the final draft of my newspaper without the photographs. I decided to get remove the 'Cabot Car Park Crisis' article and move it onto my second page as I didnt really feel that it was interesting enough to go on the front cover. Also, if I had kept it there the front cover would have been too much about Cabot Circus so some readers may not want to read it as they arent that interested in Cabot Circus.
I thought that if I changed this headline to put it on the second page, it would have the theme of the main story throughout.
I realised that in my newspaper I had no human interest stories which are a key convention of a local newspaper. For this reason I chose to write an article on knife crime for my front cover as it gives a more serious element to the newspaper and also raises a local issue.
I decided to move my 'vox pop' boxes as I felt that when they were along the side they took up too much room and I wouldnt have had any space for other articles. To change this, I moved them so that they are along the bottom of the main picture. I made another advert so that my article which would go there wouldnt be too long so that it wouldnt overwhelm the main story.
Eventually, I also decided to change my 'Portishead's Revamp is a Dream' to a story which would appeal to my target audience more. Also this story was about shops so I felt that it was necessary to have more of a variety of stories. I also wanted it to be able to appeal to males.
